Hello, Hayley! Thanks for stopping by planDisney to ask your question. I've actually been an
Annual Passholder for many years now and enjoy all of the perks of the program. Some of my favorites happen to be the complimentary parking at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, discounts on Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stays and the complimentary
Memory Maker so I can download all of the pictures taken straight to my phone. It's a great program for Guests that plan to visit Walt Disney World a couple of times a year.
At this time, because of the current circumstances, the sale of new Annual Passes has actually been temporarily suspended. This is why you won't find much information about it on the Walt Disney World website at this time. I don't think the Annual Pass program is going anywhere, however, because Guests with active annual passes that are about the expire are being allowed to renew at this time. Also, Guests with a current annual pass that have children that have turned three years old and now require theme park admission are being able to purchase a new annual pass for their child. Also, Guests that choose the option of getting a refund for their annual pass instead of extending the expiration date last summer when the Walt Disney World Theme Parks were closed are able to purchase a new annual pass at this time on a case-by-case basis. I think that in the near future annual passes for all Guests to purchase will become available. When that announcement is made, you'll be able to find all of the details on the Disney Parks Blog.
Currently, there are two ticket options you can choose from for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. You can select a standard theme park ticket that allows you entrance into one theme park a day or a
park hopper ticket that allows you to enter multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks each day. Once you've chosen your tickets and linked them to your MyDisneyExperience account, you'll want to make sure you also make a
park pass reservation for the park you'd like to visit each day. Right now, the only way you can visit a Walt Disney World Theme Park is if you have a park pass reservation due to capacity limitations at this time. Before purchasing your tickets, I'd encourage you to check out the
park availability calendar to see what parks have availability when you'd like to visit. Then, after linking your tickets, head straight to the park pass reservation website and secure your selection. The process is very automated and will walk you through how to do it step by step. Basically, you'll select your party, the day you want to make park pass reservations for and the theme park. You'll get a confirmation and then be able to do it again for a different day.
Hayley, I hope that you are able to join the Annual Passholder family very soon. If you have any other questions about the Annual Pass program or anything else, please feel free to come back and
ask me.
