Hey there, Lynn. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Your trip is just a few shorts weeks away, I know you've got to be getting so excited.
Lynn, I am excited to know that you are interested in becoming a Walt Disney World
Annual Passholder. I've been one for years now and the benefits and perks make the upfront investment so worth it. Some of my favorite features of being an Annual Passholder are the complimentary parking at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Memory Maker for the entire year with PhotoPass photos being right on my phone in minutes via the MyDisneyExperience app and the discounts on select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels throughout the year. Lynn, since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer, the sale of new Annual Passes has been temporarily suspended. I don't think the program is going anywhere, however, because Walt Disney World is renewing Annual Passes for Guests whose passes are about to expire. Also, Disney is reissuing Annual Passes to Guests who chose to get a refund on their passes instead of the extension last summer when Walt Disney World was closed. Because of this, I do expect for there to be an announcement about resuming the sales of new Annual Passes sometime soon. The
Disney Parks Blog is a great place to keep an eye out for this announcement.
If you haven't already purchased Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets, you have two options at this time. You can choose between a standard theme park ticket that allows you to enter one theme park each day or the standard theme park ticket with the park hopper option that allows you to enter multiple theme parks each day.
Park hopping has officially returned to Walt Disney World and I couldn't be more excited. It's my favorite way to spend a day in the Disney parks. Since its return, however, park hopping looks a little bit different. Here's how it's currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have standard theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must make a park pass reservation
- Guests wishing to park hop must enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before park hopping
- Park hopping hours are currently 2:00 p.m. until the closing of each park
- Please keep in mind that park hopping is subject to park capacity limitations at this time
Lynn, I do hope you are able to purchase Walt Disney World Annual Passes soon. It's a great program and I am sure you'll love being apart of the passholder family. If you have any other questions before your upcoming trip, please
come back and ask. I am always here to help!
Have fun!
