I love to collect official Disneyland Resort buttons too. They are special reminders of some of our most magical vacation memories at The Happiest Place on Earth!
Let’s start with the regularly-available buttons to make sure your core collection is complete. Guests may pick up complimentary buttons for a first visit to the Disneyland Resort or when celebrating a birthday. A “happily ever after” button is the perfect way to commemorate a romantic honeymoon, wedding anniversary, or other special occasions for couples. Guests with personal accomplishments, events, or other meaningful experiences to commemorate may request an “I’m Celebrating:” button to honor the occasion at the Disneyland Resort.
Complimentary buttons are usually found at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A., or the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street. For more convenience, ask for one of these buttons from a Cast Member at one of the many
shops around the Disneyland Resort. While you are at the shops, keep an eye out for fun “I’m here for…” buttons that feature iconic Disney parks snacks. I have found these buttons for sale near the checkout registers of different shops.
Nearly all of the character dining experiences at the Disneyland Resort include a complimentary button for each Guest. Whether you are dancing with Goofy and his pals at Goofy’s Kitchen or taking in a lovely breakfast buffet with “Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park” at
Plaza Inn, these fun buttons will be a lasting reminder of the fun you had with your favorite Disney characters. Be sure to ask your
travel agent about getting reservations for one of these special experiences.
You will see many different buttons around the Disneyland Resort. Some have been discontinued, such as separate buttons for newlyweds and wedding anniversaries. Some are limited releases for special occasions such as milestone anniversary celebrations in the parks, seasonal events, or even to promote the release of a new Disney movie. If you are at the Disneyland Resort during such a time, keep an eye out for offerings or ask a Cast Member if commemorative buttons are being distributed.
Some other collectibles we enjoy are trading pins, travel mugs, and popcorn buckets. We try to find different varieties to match the various times of the year we have been able to visit the Disneyland Resort. What other collectibles interest you?
