How busy are the parks Jan 2- Jan 9? What is the average ride wait time during this time?

Hello, Christopher!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

Historically speaking, you are visiting during a great time of year.  New Year's Day is a very busy day for the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.  However, the crowds begin heading home soon after January 1st.  You may experience moderate crowds on the 2nd, but the levels will continue dropping as the week comes to a close. By the close of that weekend, you will hopefully see low crowd levels.  This has been the trend in years past, but I cannot guarantee that 2014 will continue following the same pattern.  I just have a feeling it will.

Wait times can be tricky.  I can tell you that during low attendance levels, wait times have shown to be an average of 25 to 30 minutes for the more popular attractions.  Again, this is based on my experiences and these averages will vary.  Nothing is ever set in stone.  The average wait times may increase or significantly decrease from what I have given you.  Either way, you are going to have a great time.
