How busy is the first week of June we previously have gone in early May and the crowds where good but now since it is June just wondering if it is already busy for the summer season thank you

    Hi Lidia,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We're always happy to help you plan your magical Walt Disney World vacation.

The first week in June is the very beginning of the peak summer season. You will see heavier crowds than you've experienced in early May visits, but not so many guests as later in the summer when more school districts are on summer break.

To compensate for more guests than you are accustomed to, I'd recommend making your advance dining reservations now if dining is a priority for your family. I would also book FastPass+ choices as soon as that is available for you (60 days in advance if you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort and 30 days in advance otherwise). I like to make my FastPass+ reservations for the afternoon when the parks are busier and use the standby line earlier in the day before park attendance reaches its mid-afternoon peak.

Another tip, Lidia: The first of June also marks the beginning of the summer afternoon rain showers here in Central Florida. The rain doesn't usually last long, but it can come up quickly. I recommend buying rain ponchos for your family in advance so that you have them handy in your purse or backpack when the showers begin. Plus, it's easier to keep track of your family if you are wearing ponchos that are different than the ones sold in the parks.

I hope this helps with your planning. Please check back with us if we can offer other specific advice for your vacation. Enjoy!
