How busy are the evening magic hours at the Magic Kingdom (Wed. eve in August)? If that is the only time we have for that park would we be able to ride all the major rides?

    Hi Philip!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Extra Magic Hours are one of my favorite perks of saying at a Disney Resort Hotel. As a member of 'Team No Sleep' who loves to shut a park down and stay until the last possible moment, evening extra magic hours are my jam.

The number of attractions you're able to enjoy during Extra Magic Hours does depend on a few factors: if the time of year is crowded, that days weather, which park you're in, how late the extra hours extend, etc. I tried to stay solo in Magic Kingdom Park from 11 P.M. until 1 A.M. on a beautiful night in October a few years ago where I was able to get on four attractions. That time of year saw a lot of park guests who I guess had the same idea. But then I was there in early December this last year where four of my Disney Parks Moms Panel classmates and I were able to complete the 'Three Mountain Challenge' (which is where you ride Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain) in a half hour.

Typically you are absolutely able to experience a good number of really awesome attractions during this time. The visit for me that was really crowded was I think due to the number of regular day guests who had jumped in to attraction queues before the park closed to them as the last magic hour had really emptied out. The good news is that the My Disney Experience App will still display the current attraction wait times during Extra Magic Hours so you'll know where to head next. And remember that you're able to enter an attraction queue all the way up until the very last minute of that nights final magic hour, and you can still make your way home safely as Disney's Resort Transportation will run until two hours after that parks closing time.

    We'll See You Soon, Philip!
