Thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Matthias! I stayed at Shades of Green with my family during my brother’s last family vacation. He serves in the Coast Guard and was nice enough to have us all at the Resort with him.
When you arrive on the non-Disney owned property, you’ll find that
Shades of Green has it’s own transportation system of buses. The buses for each park leave at one specific time, departing (for example) at the top of the hour and leaving the parks at the bottom of the hour, every hour until a certain time. You’ll have to check with them to see what the earliest bus departure is, but here’s a pro tip for this Resort. Get everyone ready and out the door of your room. On the bottom floor, just before you pass outside to the bus stop, there’s a love grab and go cafe where you can get hot breakfast sandwiches and very good coffee. It’s perfect to snack on before you board the buses! If, for some reason, the buses aren’t leaving early enough for you to get through security and touch points before rope drop, I would recommend taking a ride share like UBER or LYFT. The
Minnie Vans visit anywhere on Walt Disney World Property, and since Shades of Green is located close to
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, I would think this would also be an option for you. Be sure to check with your front desk.
I hope you have a fabulous vacation, and if the panel can be of more help, please let us know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
