Hi Glenda,
Thank you for dropping by planDisney with a question!
The Walt Disney World® Resort provides a number of
Services for Guests with Disabilities. It sounds like you may have questions about
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities.
Walt Disney World Bus Service can accommodate guests in wheelchairs or electric conveyance vehicles (ECV's) that meet
certain conditions.
My family has navigated the parks and resorts with a few different disabilities including one trip where my husband was in a wheelchair. We have been grateful for the accommodations and support received during our visits. Cast members have been excellent so just ask a question if you are not sure about a process or other available support.
If you have booked a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, I also suggest that you take a look at the resort map and various room locations. We always request a room near the main dining area at our resort hotels. It makes it easier to go get something to eat or to refill our resort refillable mugs if we have one of the
Disney Dining Plans or have purchased those separately.
Glenda, I hope this helps! If you need to rent a
wheelchair or
ECV, you may certainly do so when you arrive. Just know that they are currently distributed on a first come, first serve basis at the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs, so I suggest you arrive early if you want to get one. In the meantime, I trust that your countdown to the magic has begun!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
