Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Karen!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a visit to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa –– it might just be my favorite
Disney Resorts Collection hotel of all! For me, the thing that makes this hotel so special is that it's full of elegance and sophistication, but still feels welcoming and approachable for my family with four small children. I hope you love it as much as I do during your upcoming stay!
Along with its beautiful setting and luxury amenities, one of the things I love most about staying at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is that there are
so many transportation options for getting around Walt Disney World Resort. For travel between
Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park,
Disney's Hollywood Studios,
Disney Springs, and the water parks, you'll want to jump on a bus at the Resort bus stop. For
EPCOT, you'll need to take the Resort monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and transfer to the EPCOT monorail line. And finally, for
Magic Kingdom Park, you'll have plenty of travel routes to choose from –– you can ride the monorail, set sail on a boat across the
Seven Seas Lagoon, or even take a scenic stroll and walk directly to the park.
On the days we visit Magic Kingdom Park, my family likes to use both the monorail and the walking path between the Resort and the park. On the way there, we jump on the monorail because the park is the very next stop and we enjoy the ease of going through the security line at the monorail station. On our way home, instead of waiting to ride the monorail all the way around the lake, we use the walking path. For us, not only is this a little quicker than the return trip by monorail, but it's also a peaceful and relaxing walk. After the excitement of a long park day, it's a really nice way for us to wind down before bedtime.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Karen. No matter how you travel around Walt Disney World resort, I hope your upcoming visit to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is filled with plenty of pixie dust from beginning to end!
Happy Planning,
Amy
