Bus from wilderness lodge that will stop at contemporary hotel

    Welcome to planDisney, Denise!

It doesn't get better than staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. With those tall pines, crackling fireplaces, scrumptious food, relaxing vibe, and Pacific Northwest charm, you'll be taken to a whole new world. I'm so glad you asked about getting over to Disney's Contemporary Resort, because that neighborhood around Bay Lake is one of my favorite little corners of Walt Disney World. So let's get you moving in the right direction!

There isn't a direct bus from Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary, but you do have some great options. The blue flag boat that runs directly between the two resorts operates daily from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and it's a wonderfully relaxing five-to-ten–minute ride. Outside those hours, you can take either the boat or the bus to Magic Kingdom Park and then make your way over by walking the short pathway or hopping on the monorail for one quick stop.

One quick heads-up for your planning: Disney has announced that from January 12–30, 2026, the boat dock at Wilderness Lodge will be closed for routine maintenance. During that window, boat transportation will be temporarily suspended, so your best route will be taking the bus to Magic Kingdom and continuing from there.

    Happy planning, Denise!
