Howdy, partner! Diane, I am so glad you moseyed by planDisney with your question about one of my favorite resorts. I was dancing like there's a snake in my boot when I stayed at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge this past fall.
Wilderness Lodge has multiple transportation options to get you to the
Magic Kingdom. You can catch a
resort bus at the stop just to the left of the lobby as you exit. Buses typically start running 45 minutes before the park opens and depart about every 20 minutes. You can also set sail and take a
water taxi. It is such a scenic route with
Disney's Contemporary Resort and all the beauty of Bay Lake surrounding you. My favorite part is when the boat goes over a bridge and cars are on the street below. Can you think of anything more "Disney" than that?
Once you are at the resort, your
My Disney Experience app is so helpful with
Disney Transportation. You can check the bus schedules, letting you know when the bus is expected to arrive at the resort and the theme park. It's saved me from running (or skipping) out of the lobby to see my bus driving away. I also use it at the park to know if I have time to stop at the
Main Street Confectionery for a treat on my way home. (Somehow, there is always time.)
You can also choose destinations on the map in the app and get step-by-step directions. And since it includes Disney transportation, it could be step-by-Monorail-by-step directions as you enjoy your time at the
Most Magical Place on Earth!
Diane, I hope your trip is as much fun as being a toy in Andy's room. If you have any other questions, you know we are happy to see you at
planDisney. You have a friend in us!
To Infinity and Beyond!
