Hi João Carlos!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with a great question about transportation around Walt Disney World Resort! Did you know Disney operates boats, buses, a monorail system, and the Disney Skyliner to help Guests get to the magic with ease? With so many options, it can feel a bit overwhelming, but
Hakuna Matata - planDisney is here to help! In fact, a few of my planDisney panelist pals shared some of their favorite transportation tips on the
Disney Parks Blog that you may find helpful before your arrival.
João Carlos, Walt Disney World's
complimentary resort transportation is officially scheduled to begin 45 minutes before
Early Theme Park Entry. However, I suggest arriving at your resort hotel transportation stop a few minutes before that if you plan to rope drop, as transportation sometimes starts running a little earlier than scheduled. For example, if a theme park is scheduled to open at 9:00 AM and Early Theme Park Entry begins at 8:30 AM, you can expect buses to start running by 7:45 AM. Being at that resort bus stop around 7:30 AM should get you on one of the first buses of the day and ready to start your pixie-dusted day! My family is full of early risers, so the early entry
benefit available to Guests staying in Disney Resorts Collection or at other select hotels is the perfect way to enjoy a favorite attraction or two before the theme parks open to other Guests.
Throughout your visit, you can take the guesswork out of when to expect the next bus from your resort hotel to each theme park by viewing the estimated arrival schedule in your My Disney Experience Mobile App. During your stay, simply tap the three lines in the bottom right corner of the app screen, select "Hotel Reservations," then scroll to "Bus Times."
Another transportation option that you may want to know about before your vacation is the absolutely adorable
Minnie Van service. These vans can be requested through the Lyft app and will take you anywhere on Disney property. While they do come with an additional cost, they are convenient if you're looking for a faster or more direct transportation option or if you have an early dining reservation before resort transportation begins.
I hope this information has been helpful, João Carlos, and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
Cheers,
Kristi
