Hi there, Stephanie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Disney's Contemporary Resort is such a great place to stay! It's so close to
Magic Kingdom Park that you can actually walk there which I think is really magical. You are also able to take the monorail over to
EPCOT which is fun and really convenient. To get to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park you'll be able to use the
complimentary bus transportation as well.
Buses to the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks start running each morning roughly anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to that particular park's opening time. At night, the buses will run back and forth for about an hour after the theme park's closing. In between those times, there isn't necessarily a set schedule. Buses run between the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels frequently all day long. However, bus routes and times vary due to traffic, availability and other factors. I feel like on average if I've just missed a bus then my wait time is typically around 20 minutes for the next one which isn't too bad!
If you don't want to wait for a bus, Stephanie, you can always use a rideshare service to take you over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Rideshare companies can pick you up right outside of the lobby at Disney's Contemporary Resort and they can drop you off at the Guest drop-off area just outside the gates at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The ride itself is right around 7 miles and takes just about 15 minutes with traffic to get there.
I hope this helps, Stephanie! If you have any other questions please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Enjoy!
Jackie H.
