Ahoy there, Mary, and welcome back to planDisney! See the line where the sky meets the sea? Your cruise is within sight, and pretty soon you'll be drifting away from all your worries. But before you set sail, let's get you to the port!
I see my pal
Jonathan recently helped you with your
transportation question from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World, so based on that, I'm going to assume you're sailing from Port Canaveral. I'm pleased to share that yes, Disney Cruise Line does offer
ground transportation to the port either from your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel or from Orlando International Airport. If you're sailing from a different port, you're still in luck because you'll find all the Disney Cruise Line ground transportation options in the link I shared above, including costs. You'll want to reserve transportation in advance to secure your seat.
I personally love taking Disney transportation because as soon as I board the bus, I feel like my cruise starts then. It's comfortable with plenty of room to store your carryon luggage beneath the cabin, and if the bus has the capability, they've often played cartoons on the way, which even this big kid loves. Another reason I love it is because my experience has been that those taking Disney transportation to Port Canaveral are often among the first to arrive at the port. For me, the earlier the better.
I have a few tips for you, too. Be sure to pack your travel documents in your carryon luggage since you'll need them when you arrive at the port. Once you are in range to connect to the ship's Wi-Fi, go ahead and get your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App set up for on board use. You'll then be able to see your dining rotation and available activities. This is when I like to start putting hearts by all the things I'm interested in, so I don't miss anything.
Mary, my wish is that your cruise is as fantastic as you dream it to be and that you'll bring any other questions you have back to us here at planDisney.
Have a magical cruise!
Melanie
