Can I take a bus from a Park to Water Park or do I need to transfer at a Resort?

Hi Dan! Thank you for reaching out to planDisney.

Can I tell you a secret? As many times as I have been to the Walt Disney World Resort, I have never been to the water parks! Please don't tell anyone. I plan to rectify this with my next trip because I love Disney and I love water parks. I'm especially excited to ride Miss Adventure Falls at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and go on the Chairlift at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park! You'll have to give me your recommendations when you visit!

At this time, there is no direct transportation to the water parks from the theme parks. However, you do have options! Firstly, you can do as you suggested: take transportation back to your resort and then take a bus from your resort to the water park. Secondly, you can take transportation to a resort closer to where you are and then take a bus from there. For example, if you are at Magic Kingdom Park, you can take the monorail or walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort and take a bus from that resort. And finally, we come to my preferred option: you can book a ride through the Minnie Van Service from the park you are visiting directly to the water park! It's simple, convenient, and direct, and because the drivers are Cast Members, it has that extra special Disney touch!

Dan, no matter how you get there, you are bound to have a wonderful time at the water parks. It's a great way to beat the August heat! If you have any questions in the future, please feel free to reach out again. We are always happy to help!

It's better down where it's wetter,
    Matt
