Can you take the bus from magic kingdom to downtown disney?

    Hi William,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to be able to help you with your question.

Buses do not run directly between Downtown Disney and the theme parks. My suggestion for the best, easiest way to get from Magic Kingdom to the restaurants, shopping and fun of Downtown Disney would be to take the short walk (no more than 10 minutes, even at a leisurely pace) to the Contemporary resort and catch the bus there.

The bus station at the Contemporary is located near the resort entrance as you walk from Magic Kingdom. You also can take the monorail or a water taxi to one of the other nearby resorts to catch the bus to Downtown Disney if you like.

Buses stop at the Marketplace end of Downtown Disney and near the entrance to Pleasure Island and the West End. Because there's exciting new construction going on at Downtown Disney, parking is somewhat limited, so even if you have a car, the bus is a good alternative right now.

I hope that is helpful. You are just a few days away from the fun of your Walt Disney World vacation. Enjoy!
