Hi there Lynn, and a warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!
For many fellow Canucks heading down to Florida for some warm-weather adventures, taking advantage of
the complimentary Resort Transportation as much as possible is a great way to get around Walt Disney World Resort without having to worry about
parking. From the sounds of it, you might be interested in Resort-Hopping - that is to say, visiting the other
Disney Resort Hotels in order to enjoy some of the diverse dining and recreation experiences available to hopefully inspire more future stays.
Unfortunately at the current time there aren't any
Resort Bus services that are meant to take you between hotels, with the exception of those that sometimes share the same route. For example, during our recent stay at
Disney's Contemporary Resort we experienced buses that stopped at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort along the way, and have very often experienced a similar situation with the locations around
Disney's BoardWalk. In most cases outside of these exceptions, you may have to use the nearest theme park or even
Disney Springs as a transfer point - so don't be afraid to
come back to planDisney to ask us specifically about the best way to get from wherever you're staying to wherever you're headed!
The most direct approach may be to schedule a ride using an app, such as
booking Minnie Van Service to take you between Disney Resort Hotels but bear in mind that Parking and Security Cast Members have been known restrict access throughout the year only to those either staying at that location or have a dining or activity reservation that they can look up on request before allowing you entry.
You're always welcome to ask me or fellow Canadians
Candace or
Nilson about anything else that will help you out ahead of your next Disney Adventure. In the meantime, don't forget to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates and even the newest Disney Eats that you might find as you hop around between hotel locations!
Happy Resort Hopping!
Prince
