Can you take the bus from Hollywood Studios to Epcot? Or is the Skyliner and Friendship boats the only option?

    Hi there, Caitlin!

Thanks for stopping by with your question!

It looks like you have a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation right around the corner - how exciting! I'm happy to help explain transportation options from Disney's Hollywood Studios to EPCOT.

If you'd like to visit more than one (or all four!) of the Walt Disney World theme parks on the same day, you're able to make it happen with a Theme Park Ticket with the Park Hopper Option. My family loves to start the day at one park and end at another - we plan our days that way! Disney provides several complimentary transportation options that make park hopping easy.

If you're wanting to travel from Disney's Hollywood Studios to EPCOT, here are the ways to get there:

    • Disney Skyliner - head to the Skyliner station outside Hollywood Studios to board a fun, colorful gondola, which will take you across the sky to EPCOT's International Gateway entrance. (You'll switch gondolas at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.)
    • FriendShip Boats - Board a Friendship Boat at the Hollywood Studios Boat Launch, and after quick stops at Disney's Boardwalk Resort and Disney's Yacht/Beach Club Resorts, you'll arrive at EPCOT's International Gateway.
    • Walking Path - Did you know there's a walking path between Hollywood Studios and EPCOT? If you have the time, energy, and it's not too hot outside, the scenic walkway takes about 20 minutes to traverse. I personally love taking the walking path - it's a great way to walk off all the delicious Disney treats we typically indulge in!
    • Buses - It's rare to have direct bus service between the two parks (unless the Skyliner is not operating), but it's always something you can ask a Cast Member as you're exiting the park. On heavy attendance days, you might see a direct bus after 10am for park hopping. If there's not a direct bus, you can always take a bus to any Disney Resort Hotel, then hop on a bus to Hollywood Studios from there.
Did you know that the My Disney Experience Mobile App can help you get from any Walt Disney World location to the next? Not only can you map out complimentary Disney transportation, but it will also provide you with walking directions anywhere on Walt Disney World property. It's a very handy tool and will tell you how long each form of transportation will take to get from place to place.

I hope this helps with your planning. Have a magical vacation!
