Hi Michele,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!
I am going to assume that you are planning a stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, either in the
cabins or at the
campsites. There are many loops at this resort of cabins and campsites, and "loops" is the word that is often used to refer to them.
I have stayed at Disney's Fort Wilderness many times, and I truly love the resort. It has such a relaxed feel, and there is so much to do, from archery to horseback riding. We find ourselves wanting to spend many days just relaxing at this resort when we stay there!
This resort is quite expansive, and as such, it does have an internal bus system. This means that from your loop, you will need to take a bus to either the Settlement, where you can transfer to a boat to head to Magic Kingdom, or to the Outpost, where you can transfer to buses to head to the other Walt Disney World theme parks and destinations. There are three internal bus routes - yellow, orange, and purple - and you can find maps at each bus stop indicating where each of these go. The bus drivers are also able to tell you where they are heading when you board. So while you will need to transfer transportation to head to a theme park, the system is easy and runs well.
I hope that this answers your question, Michele! Please do write back if you have any further questions as you plan your vacation.
