Hi Rebecca! I love it when a question contains references to two of my favorite places at the Walt Disney World Resort! You’ve selected an excellent choice for a Disney “home away from home!”
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is one of my favorites! The theme of that resort hotel is perfect! I love the character statues that are on display throughout the entire resort! All of which are picture-worthy!
You can’t go wrong with
Chef Mickey’s! A celebratory breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto is a great way to begin any Disney day! There are two options that I’ll suggest for your travel from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to Chef Mickey’s (located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort). Option one would be to book yourself a ride service to take your group from your hotel to Chef Mickey’s. The ride service will cost a few dollars but will give you a bit more control over timing your arrival for your reservation. Option two would depend upon what time your reservation is scheduled. If transportation services have started for the theme parks, then I would suggest that you take the bus from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to Magic Kingdom Park. When you get off of the bus stop for Magic Kingdom Park, take the short walk to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. There is a walkway to follow. Also, if you allow yourself enough time, you could also walk over to the Magic Kingdom Park
Monorail station and hop on the Monorail. The first stop after Magic Kingdom Park is Disney’s Contemporary Resort! If you plan for option two, be sure to leave yourself at least an hour to travel from your resort to Disney’s Contemporary Resort!
