Welcome back to planDisney, Diane!
One of the things I love most about staying in a Disney Resort hotel is the complimentary
resort transportation available to travel throughout Walt Disney World Resort. It’s reassuring to know that after a full day of enjoying the attractions and snacks in the theme parks, I can sit back, relax, and let Disney do the driving!
Bus transportation may be shared between
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort,
Disney's All-Star Music Resort, and
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort depending on the demand for buses. Peak times such as park opening and closing may call for each Resort to have its own buses transporting Guests to and from the theme parks. If you do end up on a bus that is shared between the All-Star Resorts, I don’t believe the additional stops will add too much time to your commute. The All-Star Resorts are very close to each other, so it won’t take long to visit the other Resorts.
When it comes to visiting other Disney Resort hotels, you are welcome to take a bus to
Disney Springs and then transfer to another bus that will take you to your desired destination. This method will not work if you are traveling to another Disney Resort hotel before Disney Springs opens, as bus service to Disney Springs does not begin until Disney Springs opens. Alternatively, you could take a bus to the theme park located nearest to the Disney Resort hotel you’d like to visit, then transfer to another bus to complete the trip. I like this option because it may give you the opportunity to experience other methods of Walt Disney World Transportation, for example, the
Walt Disney World Monorail if you are traveling to a Resort on the Monorail loop, or the
Disney Skyliner if you are visiting Disney Resort hotels near Disney’s Hollywood Studios or EPCOT. Just a note, if you'd like to take the Disney Skyliner, you'll need to take a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you take a bus to EPCOT, you'll have to walk through EPCOT and exit at the International Gateway to access the Disney Skyliner station closest to EPCOT.
I hope this answer helps you
go the distance, Diane! If you have any further questions, please
