Hi Andrea! Welcome back to planDisney.
As a mama with two Mousketeers who refuse to share a bed, I have always wanted to stay in the bunk bed room category at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. What a fun and easy way to solve vacation sleeping arrangement drama! Luckily, my kiddos sleep like Princess Aurora after a day in the theme parks and the Florida sunshine (and so do I!).
Disney's Wilderness Lodge has just finished a room refurbishment, and I just confirmed with a Cast Member that there are no longer rooms with bunk beds at this resort hotel. Similarly, there are no longer bunk beds in rooms at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
If bunk beds are a must-have, the only place to find them is in The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. My dear friend and fellow panelist Veronica adores the cabins and chooses them for every stay. The serene setting, full kitchen, and cabin atmosphere make
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort a unique choice for your stay, as you get all the benefits of an action-packed theme pack day and a tranquil, private cabin to come home to.
If you're looking for other Disney Resorts Collection hotels with unique sleeping arrangements, I've got you "covered." The
Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort have a private bedroom plus a pull-down table bed and sleeper sofa, sleeping 6 total. The theming at this resort is wonderful, and a great bonus of this room, on top of the extra space, is that it has two bathrooms. You could also look at a 1-bedroom villa in any of the
Deluxe Villa accommodations; these rooms have the feel of vacation rentals, with full kitchens, a private bedroom, and a sleeper sofa. Some 1-bedroom villas sleep 5, so take some time to explore the options on the "Places to Stay" tab. Since you asked about this resort hotel, the
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are absolutely gorgeous - I am dreaming of a stay in one of the cabins there.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of "bed" news, but I hope I've helped you "settle" on a good sleeping option for your family's vacation. My fellow Panelists and I are sharing our
tips for selecting a Walt Disney World Resort hotel in the Panel Extras, and we're here to help if you have any more questions as you decide on a resort hotel and continue to make your plans. Have fun with your Disney dreaming!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
