Happy birthday, Nicole! You are going to have a great time celebrating your special day with Mickey, Minnie, and your other favorite Disney characters! Now, let’s have some fun with your planning!
We’ll start at the
Walt Disney World Resort website. When you arrive at the site, you’ll see a heading that states, “Build Your Vacation.” You’ll enter your preferred dates of travel as well as the number of adults/children attending. You can also enter your preferred resort hotel. If you don’t have a preference, you can leave that area blank. Then click “View Rates.” The next page to appear will show you the resort rooms available (including price). You should then click on the resort room that meets your wishes. On the next page to appear, you will want to click “Package.” This indicates that you want to reserve a room at the Walt Disney World Resort and park tickets.
Once you click “package” the new price will reflect the cost of the room and park tickets for your entire stay. The number of park tickets will automatically default to the number of days you’re booking, but don’t worry, you can change that before finalizing your reservation. You will then click “Select.” Once you do, you can begin changing the number of days that you want park tickets. You can also select the type of ticket you want. For example, you can select tickets that allow you to visit one park per day or a Park Hopper ticket that allows you to visit more than one park per day!
Once you make your park ticket selection, you’ll hit “Continue.” You will then have the option to add the
Disney Dining Plan to your reservation. The plan is optional, but I usually purchase the plan because I like having peace of mind that my meals, drinks, and snacks are already covered ahead of time rather than pay as I go or at the end of the vacation.
OK, birthday girl! We’ve got your resort, tickets, and dining plan all “bundled” for you! Come on back to planDisney if you have additional questions. I hope all your birthday wishes come true! And, I almost forgot! Here's a birthday PRO TIP for you! Don't forget to ask for a birthday button upon arrival at your resort hotel or the theme parks! They are complimentary because, well, it's your birthday!
Happy Planning (and happy birthday)!
