We built in a non park day at our hotel (AKL). Can we sign our daughters up for the Captain Hook Pirate Crew without staying at the beach club resort? My husband and I would like to book a massage next door while they have their own special time.

    Hi Caitlin!

I'm so happy to hear that you are planning on spending one of your vacation days at your Disney Resort hotel because Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has so much for you to explore! You can enjoy the hotel's awesome dining and recreation and you will be able to enjoy the animals on the savannas around the hotel throughout your day. I love to have lunch at Sanaa because it combines amazing food with beautiful views of the animals. Your day outside of the theme parks will be the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate so you have plenty of energy for the rest of your trip. After all, your vacation is supposed to be relaxing, right?

Captain Hook's Pirate Crew is a fun night for little pirates who are 4 - 12 years old. Your little ones will be able to experience a night with dinner, a treasure hunt, a visit from Captain Hook and much more, while you and your husband can have a special night on your own. Captain Hook's Pirate Crew is available for all Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort and your daughters are welcome to partake in this special experience even though you aren't staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort. And once you drop your girls off, you are free to have a fun night exploring the fun at Disney's BoardWalk, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and the rest of Walt Disney World Resort. My boys have enjoyed special kids-only experiences during our past family vacations and it was a highlight of our trip for them!

Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as your vacation approaches for the latest announcements about everything headed to Walt Disney World Resort in time for your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
