I built a lightsaber at Savi's workshop on 1/4/2021 on vacation from Colorado. Within a couple weeks, the saber stopped working. I want a working saber for the nearly $300 I spent and traveled hundreds of miles to purchase.

Rising moons, Rodney, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I’m glad to hear you’ve safely returned from your journey to a galaxy far, far away. But, I’m sorry that you’re having difficulties with your custom lightsaber from Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. I completely understand how frustrating this is, since my son actually had a similar issue shortly after purchasing his lightsaber, too. We discovered that he needed to change the three AAA batteries that power the lightsaber. So, if you haven’t already checked your batteries, here are some instructions to help you locate them: First, look for the cylindrical battery pack in the bottom of the chassis, it’s hidden by the pommel cap. You’ll see that the pommel cap attaches to the bottom of the hilt. So, you’ll need to remove the cap and the attachment holding the battery pack in place. Next, you’ll slide the pack out, replace the batteries, reinsert the pack and the attachment, and place the pommel cap back on the hilt. I’m crossing my fingers that this does the trick!

If changing the batteries doesn’t help, I recommend sending an email to merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com. In your email, include an image showing your proof of purchase, whether it’s your receipt or a portion of your credit card statement that proves you purchased your lightsaber from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You can include a brief description of the issue you're having, or even a video if you’re able to capture the problem. This will help narrow down the issue so that a Cast Member can help you come to a solution faster.

If you have any other questions about your lightsaber, I recommend calling the Disneyland Resort’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Experiences phone line at (714) 300-7805 for additional support.

May the Force be with you!
