Hi, there!
Or rather, Bright Suns, Heather! It sounds like you had a galactic adventure at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. How awesome!
Building a lightsaber at
Savi's Workshop is such a force-filled experience, isn't it? And now you'll be able to continue the way of the Force at home!
To answer your question, your handbuilt lightsaber should not be pulled apart. I consulted with my dear friend and fellow panelist, Robyn, who just built a lightsaber at Savi's Workshop, and she said that you can fly with your lightsaber in its case. It can be carried on your flight just like a personal item! It will fit perfectly in an overhead bin. Robyn recommends tying something to the handle on the case since it probably won't be the only lightsaber on the flight. She placed a scrunchie on her lightsaber case to make it stand out!
I'm sure you'll soon be planning your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog while you're planning. It's your best resource for news and updates about Disney Parks and destinations!
