Which building you recomend me to stay in Disney Polynesian resort. we have 2 kids and we prefer something close to the monorail

    Aloha, Mariana,

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is such a classic Disney experience for our family.  Knowing it was one of the original resorts at Walt Disney World seems to make it just a bit more special for us.

At the resort, you'll find that the Rarotonga Longhouse is right next to the Great Ceremonial House (where the monorail station is located), so it is nearly just steps away from the monorail. However, you may have views of a parking lot.  Also, if your trip is around the corner, there is construction happening on the other side of the building that overlooks one of the pools.  Because of this, I think you might prefer the Aotearoa Longhouse which actually has standard view rooms that look out at the monorail as it passes by; it also has garden view and lagoon view rooms.  While not as close as Rarotonga, it is still considerably closer to the Great Ceremonial House than several of the other longhouses.

If your trip is down the road, I'd also recommend the Samoa Longhouse if you'd like to be near all the activity of both pools. It, too, is a short walk to the Great Ceremonial House.  To help better visualize many of these longhouses, I'd encourage you to visit the independent website tikimanpages.com. It is a great resource for information about Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

Wishing you a magical trip!  If you have any further questions, please let us know. -Kara
