Hi Kaye,
Welcome to
planDisney! It looks like your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is fast approaching - like Tiana says: you're almost there!
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside transports Guests to the heart of rural Lousiana featuring the mansions of Magnolia Bend, the charming backwoods cottages of Alligator Bayou and the scenic Sassagoula River. The picturesque river winds through the resort connecting it to
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and eventually to the lively Disney Springs. While Guests can take a bus to Disney Springs, my family prefers hopping on Disney Water Transportation and cruising down the Sassagoula with the wind in our hair and music in our ears.
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a sprawling retreat featuring smaller pools sprinkled throughout and
a feature pool on Ol' Man Island. Due to the resort's size, there are four convenient bus stops for transportation to theme parks or Disney Springs. Guests staying in Buildings 14, 15, 18 and 27, located in the Alligator Bayou section, enjoy closest proximity to the restaurants, main buildings and transportation hubs, including the boat launch. These building offer a short stroll to the
Riverside Mill Food Court where my kids love selecting meals from five stations: bakery, brill, pizza & pasta, specialties and sandwiches. There is truly something for everyone!
If you're seeking a Table Service dining experience,
Boatwright's Dining Hall is located in the same building as the Riverside Mill Food Court. This restaurant offers family-friendly food inspired by Southern Louisiana cooking. Don't miss the Mississippi Mud Crème Brûlée for dessert, it's sure to satisfy any sweet tooth!
I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning, Kaye. Wishing you a wonderful vacation to
The Most Magical Place on Earth and a relaxing stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. Remember, dreams do come true in New Orleans!
See ya real soon,
Candace
