I am building a lightsaber may 4th at 9 am. I have a ticket to the after dark event that night Will i be able to dress in my full jedi cosplay to build the lightsaber or do i need to wait until the event starts to dress up

    Bright suns, Robert!

I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question! Disneyland After Dark events are always a blast, and pairing a morning lightsaber build with an evening at Star Wars Nite is basically the perfect way to channel your inner Jedi all day long.

According to Disneyland’s rules, Guests over the age of thirteen can’t wear costumes during regular park hours. I'm sorry! I know that showing up to your lightsaber appointment already dressed like a Jedi Master would feel so right! One option is to rent a locker and store your costume until Star Wars Nite officially begins. Just double-check the event-specific costume rules, and you’ll be ready to join the festivities once the twin suns set over Batuu.

Since Star Wars Nite is packed with experiences from across the galaxy, I recommend making a priority list ahead of time. You might want to snap photos with iconic characters from a galaxy far, far away, witness the March of the First Order led by Captain Phasma, or dance along to the unmistakable sounds of Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes. And if you’re feeling bold, you can even showcase your Jedi robes in the Fleet of Fandom, a costume (cosplay) showcase. It’s the perfect place to let the Force guide your fashion!

Robert, I hope you have an incredible visit to Disneyland. If any other questions pop up as you prepare for your adventure, we’re always here at planDisney to help.

May the Force be with you!
