Bright suns, Scott! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu.
It sounds like the Force is strong with you, so I'm sure you are counting down the days until you can live out your very own Star Wars adventure at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I had the opportunity to visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge when it opened at Disneyland Resort, and it exceeded all of my expectations. Piloting the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was a childhood dream come true! I cannot wait to further explore Black Spire Outpost when Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge begins welcoming guests at
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Last week, the
Disney Parks Blog announced that guests could
begin making reservations for the experiences offered at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, including
Droid Depot. If you wish to create the droid you are looking for at Droid Depot, reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance. Your custom astromech droid will be the perfect traveling companion as you explore Black Spire Outpost and will even interact with its surroundings within Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I would definitely bring it along anytime you travel to Batuu.
Did you know that when you build your droid at Droid Depot, you will have the option to purchase additional accessories for it? You can purchase a personality chip for your droid so that it will show allegiance to either the First Order or the Resistance. Before your trip to a galaxy far, far away, be sure to download
Star Wars: Datapad on the Play Disney Parks mobile app to further enhance your Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge experience.
'Til the Spires,
Samantha
