Greetings Molly!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Our family, like yours, will be sad to see "a bug's land" close this summer. I have so many memories of my son frolicking with Flik and chew-chewing with Heimlich. Rest assured there are still plenty of fun activities, attractions, and entertainment options for toddlers in
Disney California Adventure Park.
Unfortunately, children under 40" are not allowed to ride Radiator Springs Racers even if accompanied by an adult. If your little one is 32" or taller they can definitely ride Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters in Cars Land. My toddler son loves both of these attractions so much as well as meeting his favorite residents of Radiator Springs like Tow Mater and Lightning McQueen.
Little ones also will love the classic Disney California Adventure attractions like The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! These also tend to have short wait times, so we like to experience them multiple times in the same day. Over in Hollywood Land my son has a blast partying with his favorite Characters at the
Disney Junior Dance Party! Around here you can usually meet some of these Disney Junior pals also, so keep an eye on the
Disneyland app for these Character greeting locations and times.
This spring our favorite nighttime parade, Paint the Night, returns to Disney California Adventure Park. Even as a one year old my son was mesmerized by the dazzling lights and music, so I can't wait him to experience this now as a three year old. Your toddler will absolutely be amazed!
I hope this helps, and have a magical day!
