Ahoy, Laurie!
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question. Looks like you're in the planning stages of a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
When you book your cruise, you'll be asked to choose between Main Seating and Second Seating for dinner. Each ship has three
Main Dining restaurants, and you'll be assigned a seating time and restaurant rotation. Disney Cruise Line features Rotational Dining, which allows guests the chance to visit all three distinctly-themed restaurants during your sailing. Your personal wait staff rotates with you, providing you with truly personalized service throughout your cruise! My kids have grown attached to our servers on every cruise - it's one of our favorite perks of sailing with Disney! They'll learn your tastes and preferences, and you'll feel like a VIP every time you sit down for a meal.
For breakfast and lunch, there are fabulous feasts available
buffet-style. There's no assigned seating for these meals - you can come and go as you please. You'll find something to please every palate at Beach Blanket Buffet (Disney Wonder) or Cabanas (Disney Magic, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy). There are also several quick-service venues on each ship for burgers, sandwiches, pizza and the like.
If you'd like to dine in the comfort of your stateroom, 24-hour Room Service is included in the cost of your cruise. Here's a fun tip: Mickey Ice Cream Bars, though not on the Room Service menu, can be delivered to your room! Need a sweet treat before bed? They've got you covered.
Don't worry - no guest goes hungry on a Disney Cruise. You'll find wonderful dining options are available morning, noon and night!
