We are budgeting for 2 character meals with daughters 5 and 3. We would love to see the princesses. We will be there 6/6/10- too late for castle reservations. Which others would you recommend? Also, what is the best park/least crowded for autographs?

    Hi Daphne,

Character meals are so much fun!  My suggestion for princess dining is Akershus in Norway. We prefer the breakfast, but we've also experienced dinner there, and we really enjoyed it.  (Just one note, my husband ordered the Kjottkake. It's described as a beef & pork dumpling. It's a meatball - he was less than thrilled with his meal, but the rest of our party had delicious meals.)

If your girls love Cinderella, you might want to try Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Cinderella is the only princess, but she is joined by an entire cast of characters from the movie.  The Step Sisters are a lot of fun.

Crystal Palace is another one of our favorites.  It features Winnie the Pooh and friends.  The food is delicious, and it's conveniently located inside the Magic Kingdom.

Are your girls Playhouse Disney fans?  If so, the character breakfast at Hollywood and Dine in Hollywood Studios is a must do.  My little girl was so excited to meet June from Little Einsteins!

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
