Hi Jennifer! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I know just how overwhelming it can feel when you are trying to find the right Walt Disney World Resort hotel for your family while keeping a budget in mind. My family is always on a strict budget when we travel and although it may seem difficult, it is absolutely doable to stick to your budget and still have a really fantastic vacation.
When we plan our vacations we always try to look for Special Offers. These offers are released throughout the year and offers vary. Sometimes we are able to travel during a time of year that free dining is available and other times we are able to take advantage of room discount offers. Since we are always mindful of our tight budget we try to travel during the off peak times of year (think early November, January, and even May.)
We typically stay at the “value resorts.” Even though these resorts are labeled as “value” I don’t ever feel as if I am staying at a cheap hotel and actually it is the exact opposite. My favorite value resort is
Disney’s Pop Century Resort. The rooms are just the right size for our family and you can’t beat the price! In my opinion it has one of the best food courts and my kids love the Hippy Dippy Pool and all of the poolside activities throughout the day. There is even a playground area where kids can burn off some of that energy.
Keep an eye out for any Special Offers; keep checking as often as you can. If you find a Special Offer that you feel will help decrease your cost, don’t hesitate to call the Disney Reservation hotline and ask the Cast Member if that offer can be applied to your reservation.
Please feel free to come back and ask me more vacation planning questions! I love helping guests just like you plan an unforgettable time!
