Hi Kaycee!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question! I am glad to see you are in full preparation mode for your March 2018 Disney vacation!
The amount of money you will budget for meals depends on what your family likes to eat and the type of dining experiences they prefer. Are you an on-the-go family or do you have to have at least one sit-down meal during the day? Do you like signature dining venues? I usually have breakfast in our hotel room because my daughter and husband love their morning cereal and milk combo – this also helps save time. We prefer to have lunch at a Table-Service restaurant and then eat a light dinner at a Quick-Service location. How about character meals, are you planning for that? In addition, your kids can still order from children’s menus where available so that also helps, since these meals usually come with a drink and dessert.
The nice thing is that you can
check the menus and costs of most Walt Disney World Resort restaurants online. This is a great tool to assist you while planning. Some of my family’s favorite budget friendly Table-Service restaurants are Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria (their mezzo metro pizza really feeds a family and you will have leftovers), The Plaza Restaurant, and Sci-fi Dine-In Theater. Adult entrées at Quick-Service locations usually cost between $10.99 – $15.99 and kids entrées usually go for as low as $ 5.99 for a grilled cheese accompanied by a drink and applesauce at Sunshine Seasons, for example, up to about $9.99. Please note that all menus and prices you see online are subject to change without notice. Refillable souvenir cups are not available.
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kaycee! I hope this helps you while planning and that you have a magical visit!
