Hi Christopher!
Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by! You have come to the perfect place to get answers to all of your Walt Disney World planning questions!
I can't think of a better way to start a
Magic Kingdom day than having breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the gang!
Chef Mickey's not only has great breakfast offerings, but the interaction with the characters is priceless! Your little ones will be gleaming from ear to ear after this meal.
To answer your question, you'll need to
park your car at the Ticket and Transportation Center if you plan to spend the rest of the day at the park. You're only allotted a certain amount of time to park at
Disney's Contemporary Resort while dining there. With its proximity to the Magic Kingdom, Cast Members at this resort are very strict on Guests only utilizing the parking lot during their meal. The best option is to take the resort monorail from the Ticket and Transportation Center to the Contemporary Resort to get to your meal. Then, once you are ready to head to the park, you can hop back on the monorail or take a short walk to the Magic Kingdom. The monorail is a fun way to get around and can be an attraction by itself. I know my daughters love when we get the chance to take a ride! Once your day is finished, hop back on the monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center to get to your car.
With your arrival upcoming in May, you'll get to experience the return of
Happily Ever After to the night sky over Cinderella Castle. This nighttime spectacular is making its triumphant return next month and will be shown nightly at the Magic Kingdom. I highly recommend staying for this show!
Christopher, I hope you have a magical holiday at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Stop back and see us again at planDisney!
