Hi Dawn, and welcome to planDisney! After all your planning, it's almost time for your trip – can you already hear the enchanting songs of the Tiki Room and taste the Dole Whip? Let's make sure your party is all set for a smooth arrival.
Your Disneyland Resort tickets have some flexibility built in. There are actually a few ways to update the name on an unused ticket, given that you're the original purchaser. As long as the ticket hasn't been used to enter a theme park, a Cast Member can usually help make the change. Here are some options:
- Call the Tickets phone line and speak with a Cast Member.
- Open the chat on the Disneyland website. First, make sure you're logged in to the account that you used to purchase the ticket. Then, press the "Help" button on the right side of the page.
- Open the chat on the Disneyland mobile app. Tap the icon with the three lines (☰) and scroll down to the "Chat with Us" option under "Help & Feedback."
- You can do this in person at the Guest Services window to the left of the Disneyland entrance, but the other ways may be quicker, and you'll probably want to start exploring once you arrive. Best to take care of it in advance.
Since you mentioned that you purchased the tickets a while ago, I also wanted to help you confirm that your tickets are still valid and that you have an active
theme park reservation. The easiest way to check this is through the mobile app. Tap the icon with the three lines (☰) and then tap "My Tickets & Passes." All of your tickets (if purchased through your account) should show up here along with their expiration date. You can also link tickets here if they aren't already showing up. Go back one step and scroll down to "Future Plans" and tap it to see your active reservations.
I've mentioned the Disneyland mobile app a few times. That's because it's a really helpful tool during any Disneyland Resort visit. Aside from accessing your tickets and reservations, I also use the app to check attraction wait times, see where Characters will be and when, check the entertainment schedules, place
mobile orders for food, and more. If you plan on using the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll also use the app to book arrival windows throughout the day. Make sure you're signed in to the app, and bring a portable charger with you.
Dawn, many magical moments await you at the Disneyland Resort. If you have any questions while at the park, stop by one of the Guest Relations spots or use the chat feature in the mobile app. Of course, you can also come back to planDisney – we're always happy to help!
Your pal,
Kriss
