Good day, Malina. Thanks for reaching out to us!
Typically, the price you paid for a wholly unused
theme park ticket purchased separately from a
vacation package can be applied to a future ticket purchase. If the cost of the new ticket is more expensive, you will be responsible for the difference at the time of purchase. If the new ticket purchase is less expensive, you will not receive a refund for the difference. You can read the full details on the
Ticket Store Terms & Conditions page. If the ticket was part of a vacation package, the amount you paid for her ticket would likely not be able to be applied toward a new ticket purchase according to the
Vacation Package Terms & Conditions.
Now, if this ticket
was part of a theme park ticket-only purchase, let's go through some of the ways you can change the date of this ticket. First, log into your MyDisney account and click on "
My Plans" from the My Disney Experience dropdown menu. Then, scroll down and click on "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" under the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" heading. If you see the ticket here, there should be a "Change Ticket" link that you can click on and then follow the prompts. You can also try to do this through the
My Disney Experience mobile app by clicking the three horizontal lines (☰) in the bottom right-hand corner, selecting the "My Tickets & Passes" tile, finding the ticket in question, and following the prompts after clicking the "Change Ticket" option (typically underneath the ticket). If you can't find your ticket or there's no option to change the ticket, you may need to
call a friendly Cast Member on the Existing Tickets line who would be happy to let you know if your ticket can be changed and how to do so if it is.
Malina, I hope you and your daughter can make it to the
Walt Disney World Resort soon.
The future is looking bright, and
2025 is shaping up to be a magical year! If you have any other questions,
I'd love to help!
The past shouldn't be feared, for it guides our future,
Matt
