When I brought my minor grand children to Disney and validated my Florida residency, I was told that my out of state grand children had to be Florida residence to get the discount for Florida residents. Is this a change in process for Disney?

    Hi Walter, welcome to planDisney!

I love that you’re planning a Disney vacation with your grandkids. My kids have spent a lot of time at Walt Disney World with their grandparents. We’ve gone from needing strollers and rider switch to riding most attractions together as a multi-generational family!

The Cast Member gave you the most up-to-date information, Walter. Guests using Florida resident tickets must be Florida residents. You cannot purchase Florida resident tickets and give them to non-residents. If you’re planning a future visit with your grandkids, there is a Special Offer to save 50% on select kids tickets this summer, valid for tickets dated May 27, 2025, through September 20, 2025. There is also a special 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket which can be used for one admission to EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. This ticket can only be used at each park once and is not eligible for Park Hopping. The ticket does not include admission to Magic Kingdom. I recommend visiting the Special Offers page before you plan your visit to see what deals you can apply to your vacation!

Enjoy your family visit to Walt Disney World, Walter! I’m sure your grandkids love these special trips with you. If you have any future questions, come back and see us again at planDisney!
