Brother in wheelchair, Disney Magic Cruise May 2012. Is there a way to enter restaurants onboard in a wheelchair? We will be 4 adults, brother and sis-in-law's first, our 3rd.

    Hi Margaret!

I'm so excited for you guys!  You obviously love sailing with Disney Cruise Line since you're going on your third cruise with them.  I'm thrilled that your brother and sister-in-law are joining you for this trip.  You are going to have a blast.  I love the Disney Magic.  I've sailed on it three times and I just don't get tired of it.

Disney Cruise Line is excellent at providing the services and support that their Guests with Disabilities need to ensure a wonderful trip.  Your brother will not have a single issue getting into every restaurant.  The restaurants' entrances are double doors so they will be wide enough for the wheelchair to get through.  Some of the restaurants have a couple of steps in front of the entrance.  That won't be a problem either.  There will be a ramp area that your brother will be able to use.

Here is some information on wheelchair accessibility for staterooms, and other services available for Guests with Disabilities that I thought might help.

I hope this helps.  If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.  I'm very happy to help a fellow cruiser.  Bon voyage!!!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
