My brother wants to gift his Disneyland ticket that was never used to my wife. Do we have to change the name associated with that ticket to my wife's name, and if so, how do we go about it?

    Hey there, Ruben!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for asking this question about Disneyland Resort tickets. I’m glad to hear you’ll be planning a visit to the theme parks with your wife soon!

It’s best that the name on each theme park ticket matches the name of the person using the ticket and their identification card, especially since theme park reservations are now required for each person who visits the theme parks. The name assigned to an unused theme park ticket can be changed, but this typically needs to be done in person at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths at the resort and can’t be edited on Disneyland.com or the Disneyland mobile app. Please call the Disneyland Resort at (714) 781-4636 to get live assistance from a Cast Member with reassigning the ticket prior to your family’s vacation. Once the tickets are linked to your Disney account, be sure to secure theme park reservations for your desired dates!

I hope this helps you make plans, Ruben. Please send us any other questions you have as your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth draws near!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
