My brother is a FL Resident is purchasing my kids their Disney tickets at the discounted rate. Is he able to buy them 30 days ahead of time so we can pick fast passes? Does he need to come with us on our first day?

Warm greetings from the Sunshine State, Deniss! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's help you start making those plans for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

We Floridians love sharing our love of Disney with friends and family. After all, experiencing your favorite place with your favorite people is what Walt Disney World is all about! Florida residents can buy tickets online in advance, but they need to show proof of Florida residency in person before the tickets can be used. Similarly, adults buying Florida Resident Walt Disney World tickets for children must also show proof of residency when the tickets are activated. That means your brother would need to be there to show ID before the tickets can be used.

Now let's get to the fun part - making those FastPass+ selections! Guests staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can choose their FastPass+ attractions up to 60 days in advance of their visit. If you're staying offsite, you can make your selections up to 30 days in advance. Once the tickets are purchased and linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can dive right in and start making your FastPass+ selections at the 30-day mark. You'll just need to stop by Guest Relations before entering the Theme Park to activate your tickets.

Deniss, your Walt Disney World trip will be here before you know it! I just know your family is looking forward to all the amazing attractions, spectacular snacks, and magical moments to come. Please do stop by and see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
