My brother will not be booking onto the same trip as me till next year but can I still add him onto my park reservations once he booked next year? What happens if the parks I booked each day not available on the same days as me for my brother next year?

    Hey, Michael. Welcome to planDisney!

It's great to see a fellow Michael from Merseyside. Are you a Blue or a Red? Actually, let's change the subject. It's been a pretty dire season for both Everton and Liverpool, hasn't it? So let's not dwell on it any longer.

Instead, let's talk about something more magical: Walt Disney World Resort! It's "boss" that your brother is planning on joining you at The Most Magical Place on Earth. That way, you'll never walk ride alone (sorry, I couldn't resist!).

Here's what you'll both need to do. First, he needs to purchase his vacation package. Assuming theme park reservations are still required by that time, your brother will need to make his own park reservations. You'll then want to add one another to your Family & Friends List. Here's how you do that:

You'll need to open up the My Disney Experience Mobile App and sign into your account. Once you do that, locate your Family & Friends List by tapping the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner, scrolling down to the bottom, tapping "My Profile," and then tapping "Family & Friends List" on the top right. Scroll down and click "Add a Guest." You'll then be given simple instructions on how to add your brother. Once you add him, you'll then be able to make plans together, such as making Disney Genie+ selections and dining reservations.

As long as you make your park reservations a few weeks in advance, you should have no problem. You're also planning on going at a less busy time of the year and so I wouldn't worry about parks reaching capacity before your brother can make reservations. You can keep your eye on the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar in the build-up to your trip. In the words of Lilo, “'Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind.”

I hope that's helpful, Michael. "Nice one" for stopping by planDisney. I trust you'll have a brilliant time when you visit next year.

    See ya real soon!
