Hi my brother and i are looking to buy Disneyland anniversary tickets & lightening lane multi pass tickets for each of our families. Once we have each booked can we link them on one app so that we can make sure we get reservations for the same time?

Hey there, hi there, Dario! Welcome back to planDisney, my friend! How incredibly exciting that you’re planning a magical journey with your brother’s family all the way from Australia to the Disneyland Resort! What a wonderful way to make some core memories together. Planning across two families might seem tricky, but I'm happy to help with your question about coordinating those Lightning Lane Multi Passes!

You've asked a fantastic question, and I've got great news for you: Yes, absolutely! Even if you purchase your park tickets and add the Lightning Lane Multi Pass option separately for each family member, you can definitely connect them to manage your day like one big happy group.

Once everyone has their park tickets purchased, you can easily link all of them together within the Disneyland mobile app. Linking allows the designated planners in your group (maybe you or your brother!) to see everyone's plans and make Lightning Lane return time selections for the entire party, all at the same time. This is the perfect way to ensure you all get those return times together for your favorite attractions, just like you wanted! To link your tickets and passes, just open the Disneyland mobile app, tap the menu button (three-lined icon) at the bottom right, and select “My Tickets & Passes”. Then, tap the plus sign (+) in the top right corner and choose “Link Tickets & Passes”. You can then easily add each family member's ticket or pass by scanning its barcode with the phone's camera, tapping their MagicBand+, or manually typing in the ID number. You'll just need to repeat the process for each ticket you want to link to your account. It's super straightforward and makes coordinating your day much easier!

And here’s another super handy feature of using the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, especially with families and mixed groups: flexibility! While linking lets you book attractions together easily, you're not stuck doing every single thing as one large group if you don't want to. If some members of your family are fearless thrill-seekers ready to brave the Incredicoaster, while others prefer a gentler, but totally silly ride on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, you can easily split your Lightning Lane selections. Book one group for a high-speed adventure and another group for a classic storybook ride during overlapping times! The Multi Pass gives you the freedom to divide into smaller crews for different experiences based on preference, and then magically regroup for attractions you all want to enjoy together later on. It's perfect for keeping everyone happy and making the most of your day!

I hope this helps you map out your strategy for an absolutely unforgettable visit, Dario! Coordinating across families is quite manageable once you're all linked up in the app. Wishing you, your brother, and both your families safe travels and a truly spectacular time making memories together at the Happiest Place on Earth! If any more questions pop up as you plan, feel free to send them our way!
