My brother in law has a green card. On a closed loop cruise, when will he have to interact with customs, immigration, or anything similar?

Welcome to planDisney, Laura!  Thank you for your question about travel documentation.

Guests who are US Legal Permanent Residents must present a valid original Permanent Resident Card, also known as a green card. Photocopies are not acceptable. He will need to present it once he arrives at the cruise terminal before embarking. If you will be debarking at Ports of Call, a photo ID is required for all Guests over the age of 18. All Guests will go through customs after debarking their Disney Cruise Line ship on the final morning and collecting their luggage.

It is each Guest's responsibility to identify and obtain any necessary visas before their cruise begins. If you or your brother-in-law would like to ask specific questions about any of your Ports of Call, I suggest you call Disney Cruise Line Embarkation Guest Services.  They can be reached by calling 1-800-395-9374 and are open Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm (ET).  On Saturday and Sunday, they are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (ET).  Please select option 1.

Laura, if you have any other questions, sail back to planDisney
