Hello Matt, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for sending your question our way. My parents are some of Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors in the Sunshine State and enjoy many perks of being Florida residents. One of those benefits is making special memories with their grandkids and taking them to
Walt Disney World with
exclusive discounted theme park tickets.
Matt, because Florida resident tickets need to be activated at Guest Relations or a ticket window with
proof of residency and photo ID before their first use, your brother must at least initially accompany his young guests to Walt Disney World to activate their tickets. My children can only enter the theme parks with Florida resident tickets as my parents' guests, so we use these tickets when visiting as an extended family.
If your brother can't travel with you next week, I recommend purchasing regular
theme park tickets for your family as soon as possible. To reduce costs, consider buying base tickets and forgoing the
Park Hopper option. There is so much to experience in each theme park; I enjoy them more thoroughly when focusing on where I am and not thinking about my next stop. From attractions to
nighttime spectaculars, there's plenty of entertainment to keep you busy from park open to close. I hope you have a fantastic time on your vacation, Matt, and if there's anything else we at
planDisney can do to make it and future trips even more memorable, don't hesitate to reach out again.
Have a magical day,
Betsy
