Hi. My brother is a Florida resident and we are planning to meet for a Disney visit. Can he use his Florida discount to buy my ticket? I leave in NJ and am over 18

    Hiya Katherine!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your ticket question! As a fellow New Jersey native who traded the Garden State for a little sunshine, I have to say, you are going to have the most magical time visiting Walt Disney World with your brother!

Let’s jump right into your question! Unfortunately, when it comes to Florida Resident tickets, your brother won’t be able to help you purchase one at the discounted rate. All Guests ages 18 and older must provide proof of Florida residency. This can include a valid Florida driver’s license (with a Florida address), a Florida state-issued ID, or a Florida-based military ID.

I know that’s not quite the happily-ever-after answer you were hoping for, but don’t worry, there are still ways to save a little pixie dust on your trip! I highly recommend checking out the Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World website. You’ll often find discounts on theme park tickets, resort stays, and even vacation packages. These deals can change faster than Cinderella’s coach at midnight, so if you see one that works for you, I’d grab it while you can!

Katherine, I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any more questions, feel free to stop by again.

    See you real soon,

    Christina
