My brother and his family will be staying in the Ft. Wilderness Cabins. I will be staying in the Ft. Wilderness lodge. If we want to go to the Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood studios would we all catch the bus at the same place, or are they different buses?

    Hiya, Michelle. Welcome to planDisney

Are you getting so excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation? It will be here before you know it. I hope the countdown is on!

Michelle, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney's Wilderness Lodge are actually two different resorts within Walt Disney World. They are nearby each other but are not connected. The bus stop for your resort and your brother's resort is in two separate locations. However, at each theme park, the bus stop for each resort is kind of in one central area so it will be easy for the two of you to meet up once you are there.

If you'd like to go over to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to visit your brother or vice versa, you can absolutely do so but there isn't transportation that directly connects the two resorts. You can take the boat from your resort over to Magic Kingdom Park, transfer boat lines to the other resort and then take the boat straight there. This will probably take you 20-30 minutes but it's very easy to do so.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion, Michelle. If you have other questions about this, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
