Hi there, Cheryl!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are quickly approaching Platinum Castaway Club status and your
Alaskan adventure will be the perfect addition to your list of voyages! Make sure you book your tenth Disney Cruise Line vacation while onboard to secure that status AND take advantage of the onboard booking specials!
You will have the best time in Alaska, and I am hopeful that you have some excellent weather! When my family sailed through Alaska with Captain Mickey a few years ago we also went in September and had some excellently mild weather! But being from Texas we don’t do cold weather that well anyhow! Be prepared for some incredible sights, some exciting excursions and LOTS of fun – both onboard and on land!
One of my husband and I’s favorite things to do while onboard is dine at
Palo; in fact, when my onboard booking window opens, that is always the first thing I reserve to ensure I get to enjoy the fine dining experience AND the Chocolate Souffle! Although, the new Amaretto Souffle is quickly moving up to my favorite; I usually have my husband order one and I get the other so that I can enjoy both! While always subject to change without notice, the current price for dinner or brunch at Palo is $40 per person. While we typically opt for dinner (I am not much a “brunch eater”), I only hear incredible things about the Palo brunch menu, especially since it means you don’t miss out on one of your rotational dining experiences. Plus, if you can snag a reservation on Day 5 when you pass through the Dawes Glacier you will have some WONDERful sights to see during your brunch!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
