We are brining my 4 year old to WDW this Oct. The Halloween celebration sounds like fun. I know they say "not so scary" but is any of it scary? He is also allergic to milk and eggs, are there treat alternatives for these children? Or we can trad

    Hi Sarah!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

This is a great question.  It really isn't scary, except for maybe part of the Boo To You parade, which is fabulous by the way.  For example, the Headless Horseman starts off the parade and some very young children might find that scary.  Overall, it is much less scary than the Haunted Mansion if your 4 year old has ever been in that.  I think it is a great event, except that it doesn't start until 7pm and I think you really need to stay until about 10 pm to get the most out of the party; that can make for a very late night for a very young child.

Most of the treats given out are standard Halloween candy that you would get by going trick-or-treating in your local neighborhood.  However, you can definitely talk to a Cast Member about a substitution and that has happened in the past.  One person I know was allowed to go into the Main Street Bakery to pick out substitute treats!

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
